7 of My Favorite Classroom Yoga Videos

Posted on February 25, 2022February 26, 2022 by newschoolyoga

When I first wanted to try using yoga in my classroom, I had no idea where to start. At the time, I wasn’t a trained yoga teacher, so I didn’t feel comfortable leading my class through a sequence. I began looking for videos I could use instead. I found a few here and there, but many of the videos titled “Yoga for the Classroom” included sequences that required a mat, were too long, were geared toward elementary classrooms, or were otherwise inappropriate for a classroom setting. I worked with what I could find and started to see positive changes in my students.

Now, years later, as a certified yoga teacher and an experienced public school teacher, I use my YouTube channel to create what I was hoping to find in the early days of bringing yoga into my classroom. I create 5-10 minute classroom yoga sequences that make it easy for teachers to use yoga in their classrooms.

Below, I’ve compiled 7 easy to use, beginner-friendly yoga videos perfect for middle and high school classrooms. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more classroom videos and other related content, like yoga for teens and yoga for teachers.
