Yoga for Teens: Yoga to Start Your Day

Posted on May 21, 2020May 21, 2020 by newschoolyoga

When I started practicing yoga, one of the first things I noticed was that if I started my day with yoga (even if it was just a few minutes), I felt different throughout the entire day. Something about starting your day mindfully carries into every aspect of your daily life. You move differently, you think differently, you feel better throughout the day. I find there is more space around my decisions, reactions, and thoughts.

I put together a quick sequence you can use to wake up and set the tone for an awesome day. We’ll start with some seated stretches to help you ease into the day, and move into an energizing flow. Give it a try!

Be sure to check out the other classes in my Yoga for Teens Series, including a relaxing bedtime routine and an energizing yoga break.
